EAB Navigate Trails Training

You will want to sign in with your Digital ID number USE A LOWER-CASE d If that doesn’t work you may need to clear your cookies or use the incognito mode so that your cookies from other UT sites don’t automatically add a capital D.

You will need to sign in with your DUO login

Once in Navigate you will see the Professor Home page. There are two ways to issue Alerts on students.

Login to Navigate

Issuing Alert(s) to Multiple Students

 

  1. In the Class Listing box click on the Progress Reports link
  2. Chose which student(s) you want to issue an alert or multiple alerts
    NOTE: The same alerts will be issued to all the students selected. If for example, you want to issue an attendance alert on some students and a non-academic alert on other students you will want to make two separate Progress Reports.
  3. Click on the Actions tap
  4. Click on Create a New Progress Report
  5. Choose the Yes option to At-Risk to fail Your Class?
  6. Choose which Alert Reason(s)
  7. Fill out How Many Absences
  8. Current Grade
  9. Please leave detailed Comments to ensure that the alert will be issued to the appropriate Student Resource
    NOTE: The same comments will be issued to all the students selected so if you want to write individual comments you may want to do each student at a time.
  10. Submit Report

Issuing Alert(s) to One Student at a Time

 

  1. On the right side of the Professor home page there is a box titled Actions, click on Issue an Alert
  2. Type in the name or Digital ID of the student
  3. Choose the alert reason(s)
  4. Choose what class this alert is for
  5. Please leave detailed Comments to ensure that the alert will be issued to the appropriate Student Resource.
